How we support you

Our values:

DAD is a rights based disability user led organisation, some key values underpin our work these include:

  • Supporting people to have greater choice and control over their lives.
  • Working within the social model of disability which aims to recognise and remove the barriers that many disabled people face when trying to live their lives.
  • Equality and accessibility
  • Independence: by this we mean people having the right support to achieve their goals
  • Rights: supporting people to assert their human and legal rights.

As an advocacy service, we follow the National Advocacy Charter below in all that we do.

How you can support us

As a local organisation we very much rely on the support of our local community, and continue to support people flexibly to have greater choice and control and remove the barriers that disabled people and children experience in their everyday lives. We support over 2,000 people every year.  But we need your help.
