I am man that has suffered an accident and now has some impairments. I am looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to assist me with my daily life tasks. These tasks include some light assistance with domestic skills, keeping a home and my recreational time. The right person will have a person centred approach.

Before my accident I enjoyed keeping fit and staying healthy and I want to continue that with the help of a PA. I am flexible and sociable.

Pinpoint Home Care are seeking experienced Health Care Assistants to support a young lady with complex care needs. 
Our client is in her late 20’s and lives in her own home in Darlington. 
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants who are passionate about their job; enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing both personal and medical care during the day and occasionally in the night 
  • Using bespoke moving and positioning techniques
  • Using bespoke equipment when carrying out moving and positioning techniques 
  • Administering PEG for nutrition, hydration and medications
  • Administering C PAP (Nippy) machine for overnight
  • Daily tasks such as dressing, showering and assistance to the toilet 
  • Daily tasks also include maintaining the household, cleaning, laundry, housework and any normal day to day jobs.
  • Weekly physiotherapy where you can learn the ropes alongside a qualified therapist
  • Accompanying our client to appointments and outings/activities 

Essential Experience Required as our client has Congenital Muscular Dystrophy.

  • 6 months previous care experience
  • Medication Administration

  • Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience.

  • PEG Feeding
  • Gastrostomy care (PEG)
  • Any experience with complex neurological conditions 

Shift patterns for this role are 24 hours. 11:00am - 11:00am INCLUDING a sleepover.  Please be aware you will be required to give assistance to our client at night. 
Shifts will include weekends, bank holidays, public holidays, Christmas, New Year and cover shifts often are available due to sickness or annual leave.
21 hours of on the job training and shadowing will be provided.
You will be working independently on a 1/1 basis but will also be part of an ongoing established team. 
Hobbies include watching TV, (programs like EastEnders/Coronation Street, Holby City, and The Simpson’s to name a few), collecting Charmed memorabilia, going bowling and the arcades at Teesside Park. Our client also enjoys playing games like Scrabble and Dominoes.
