DAD have skilled and experienced staff that can deliver Disability Equality Training which is up to date, exploring the meaning of disability and offering guidance on current legislation.

DAD, with funding from Skills for Care provide free courses for Direct Payment Employer and Personal Assistants in Darlington and Redcar & Cleveland.
Mentoring for Independence supports young people between 13 and 25 years old, to learn independent living skills, through transition of being a child, to becoming a young adult. Young people will gain confidence, self esteem, friendships, practical and emotional support, in a safe, flexible, friendly and fun environment.
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is named after Oliver McGowan, whose death shone a light on the need for health and social care staff to have better training including improving access and reasonable adjustments. The training is co- delivered with people who have lived experience.
Together we can prevent the many avoidable deaths like Oliver’s from happening again.
