Support to get out and about

Outreach provides 1 to 1 support to be able to go to the places that are important to you. A trained and experienced member of staff will accompany you on essential shopping trips, or to visit places you like such as local parks, cafes, gym, cinema, theatre etc.

Community Transport - our accessible vehicle can be booked to take you on these visits or for GP appointments, hospital trips etc. The vehicle is driven by a member of staff who is experienced in ensuring you have a safe journey and can support you to and from your home, unlike a general taxi. A mileage charge is payable and the service must be booked in advance.

Travel training provides 1 to 1 support for everyone who needs increase their independence using public transport. Perhaps you are a young person who hasn’t used a bus before and needs some support, or you have been unable to get out of your home for a long time and have lost your confidence. Travel training is bespoke to meet your individual needs. An hourly charge applies.

How you can support us

As a local organisation we very much rely on the support of our local community. We support over 2,000 people every year to have greater choice and control and remove the barriers that disabled adults and children experience in their everyday lives. But we need YOUR help.
