Description: A great opportunity has arisen for the chance to support a lively 8-year-old in the Redcar area. This is a Bank Worker Position.
Support is to access the community, go to the beach, soft play, and swimming. There is a need for some support with personal care, hand hygiene and assist with toilet.
Hours: Bank worker to cover of permanent staff when on holiday or off sick for up to 5 hours per week during term time, 8 hours per week during school holidays.
Wage: £13.98 per hour
Duties will include: To ensure the child is safe whilst supporting to access activities. The suitable person will need to be able to give the child time to process verbal information and use a minimum of verbal communication.
Applicants must be: Patient, reliable, honest and trustworthy. Knowledge of Autism and positive behaviour support strategies are an advantage, however information can be provided at interview. There is also an opportunity for the employee to access training.

Description: A gentleman in the Loftus area is looking for 2-3 Personal Assistants to support on a Monday to Friday for 3 hours a day.
Hours – 15 hours a week to be split across successful applicants, times would be 10.30–13.30pm, however they can be some flexibility with this.
2-3 personal assistants needed as they would be expected to cover each other’s holidays and sickness.
Wage: £11.44
Duties will include: Support around preparing weekly medication, receiving weekly food delivery, support with laundry, kitchen tasks, weekly cleaning of bathroom and kitchen. Changing bedding weekly and supporting the gentleman with making phone calls. Most of the role involves collaboration with the gentleman, as he struggles with some day-to-day activities and also some tasks he is not able to do when his carers are not present.
One applicant must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as the support also includes taking the gentleman to the local swimming pool and to local NHS appointments or similar.
Training - will be given by the employer so that personal assistants can be clear on what support is needed. Experience of supporting a person who uses a wheelchair would be useful but not essential.
