North East & Cumbria Advocacy Network - Whorlton Hall
North East & Cumbria Advocacy Network have produced a response called Breaking the Silence following the publication of the Whorlton Hall Safeguarding Review.
DAD is an active member of the network with the aim to to make sure this abuse and scandal does not happen again. Although DAD was not the advocacy provider in Whorlton Hall we are working tirelessly to ensure people with learning impairments and autistic people are not subjected to abuse, and will challenge the system and uphold people's rights where people are stuck in hospital with no home to go to.
