Direct Payments Support Service Employer Bulletin

September 2016

The purpose of the monthly bulletin is to provide you with general information around your employer responsibilities but will change from time to time as and when legislation does so it is important that you read it each month. We are here to help, so if you have any queries please contact us.

Direct Payment Support Service Invoices

If you have outstanding invoices you will have a ‘summary of payments due’ attached with your current invoice, could you please bring your account up to date by paying the amount highlighted in the amount payable box. Thank You.

National Living Wage

From 1st October 2016, The National Minimum wage will increase to £6.95 this will apply for those aged 21 to 24. The mandatory national living wage of £7.20 for workers aged 25 and above will stay the same.  

DAD Direct Payment Support Service Questionnaire

We have recently sent out a questionnaire and would be grateful if you could complete this and return it. DAD values your opinion and the feedback you give us will help us improve and develop the support we provide.

Free Training for Direct Payment Employers and Personal Assistants

DAD has been successful in securing funding from Skills for Care to provide training for Direct Payment Employers, and Personal Assistants.
We may be able to contribute to transport costs and replacement support for you so that you can free your PA up to attend courses.
Some of the examples of the courses coming up are: Autism Awareness. First Aid, Disability Equality, Manual Handling, Medication Awareness, Mental Capacity, Mental Health awareness, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene.
